The Coopathon is a collaborative event to develop innovative cooperative solutions for global challenges. Led by the ICA Global Youth Network, participants will engage in a hackathon-style event to brainstorm ideas that promote solidarity, resilience, and sustainable development within the cooperative movement. By leveraging technology, data analytics, and social entrepreneurship, the Coopathon aims to foster cooperation and mutual support among cooperatives to address complex issues in today's world.
Participants from different backgrounds and cooperative knowledge will share space diving into a journey that will not only add to their view of the cooperative mode but that will also allow them to create real life solutions to cooperative and social challenges.
The participants will dive into a 20+ hour facilitated creation process that goes from exploring current personal and sectorial challenges to the development of solutions in the form of games. The hybrid online-offline ecosystem is designed to optimize learning, engagement and impact to build lasting networks. All of it working with peers fostering cooperative values, teamwork and open discussion, empower emerging leaders to support and inspire one another building a strong base of the future of the cooperative movement.
